PIETERMARITZBURG - The Sindiso Magaqa murder trial has been adjourned to Tuesday.
The matter was heard briefly in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Monday morning.
On Friday, former bodyguard Thakabonwa 'Mbovu' Ngubane told the court that he wasn't at the scene when Magaqa was shot, as he'd been sent to the shops.
Ngubane faced cross-examination over his account of events.
The court heard that Magaqa had been armed and returned fire when he was ambushed.
The defence has concluded its cross-examination of Ngubane.
The state then asked for an adjournment as they could not secure a witness to lead evidence.
