Lusikisiki massacre | Minister Chikunga calls for lengthy sentences

JOHANNESBURG - Minister of Women, Sindisiwe Chikunga, has called for harsh sentences for those responsible for the Lusikisiki massacre.

Eighteen people, mostly women, were gunned down in Ngobozana village on 28 September 2024.

"Those people who are found guilty must remain in jail. You cannot kill 18 people and be considered for parole," she said. 

Chikunga has called for lengthy sentences with no chance of parole.
