A little more buck in the bag for Sassa grants recipients

JOHANNESBURG - As we step into October, there's some good news for many who rely on social grants.

Sassa has announced increases for several key grants, putting a bit more money in the pockets of beneficiaries.

These increases, aimed at keeping pace with inflation, are a welcome relief to many households.

But not everyone will be smiling, as some grants will remain unchanged following an increase in April.

Sassa spokesperson Paseka Letsatsi said the process of budget or increase in terms of grants lies with Treasury.
