Limpopo bus crash | Family relieved son's body has been found

MAKHADO - The family of a 37-year-old man who went missing after Monday's deadly bus crash say they're relieved their son’s body has been found.

Shumani Mphepho's body was retrieved by police divers from the river the bus plunged into after a head-on collision.

His death brings the death toll from the accident to 22.

The news of Monday’s deadly crash came brought agony to the Mphephu family when they discovered their son was missing.

On Tuesday, their worst fears were confirmed after their son's body was recovered by police divers at the site of the crash after Mphephu's body was found floating in the river, metres away from the scene.

Several survivors are blaming the bus company for the accident, claiming the bus had been speeding before the crash.

eNCA approached the Mabirimisa bus company to get answers but was told no managers are available to respond to our questions.

Meanwhile, investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
