JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has established a commission of inquiry into the deadly Marshalltown fire in the Johannesburg CBD.
The commission will be chaired by Justice Sisi Khampepe, assisted by Thulani Makhubela and Vuyelwa Mathilda Mabena.
77 people died in the blaze in one of the city’s many hijacked buildings.
Families are still in the process of identifying their loved ones - having lost their lives in the horrific fire.
Most of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition which means DNA sampling needs to be conducted.
