KZN police deployed to prevent truck attacks

JOHANNESBURG - The Road Freight Association has welcomed the decision by KwaZulu-Natal police to patrol highways in an effort to safeguard trucks.

A total of eight heavy-duty vehicles have been torched in the province over the past three days - the highest in the country.

But the RFA wants to know whether the deployment of police on highways will be sustainable.
