KZN police commissioner says SAPS still investigating AKA murder

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says they're following up on several leads in the murder of Kiernan 'AKA’ Forbes' murder.

He says police have seized cellphones belonging to certain individuals and information that could help solve the case is being downloaded.

Mkhwanazi was speaking during the release of the quarterly crime statistics in Cape Town.

Mkhwanazi said, "we’ve not arrested anyone yet. We have however interviewed a number of people in KZN and Gauteng. We’ve collected cellphones and we’re downloading information."

"We’ve collected videos from CCTV cameras. The viewing of the videos is continuing….in order to have a solid case going forward.”
