KZN ANC call for Eskom CEO dismissal

DURBAN - The ANC in KZN is calling for the Eskom CEO to be fired.

The country is currently under Stage 5 load-shedding and President Cyril Ramaphosa will meet his cabinet on Wednesday to discuss the electricity crisis.

ANC KZN secretary Bheki Mtolo said, "the president must fire the CEO. If he does not fire the CEO, we won't be respected by society."

"That CEO must go and we get someone who knows Eskom... You don't get someone who has a theology degree to run infrastructure. The guy has got masters in business. He knows nothing about engineering. We must get people who are technically skilled."
