CAPE TOWN - A 35-year-old Ukrainian woman has been released by her kidnappers in the Western Cape.
Police have confirmed that Anna Penev has been reunited with her family.
No arrests have been made yet.
More than a week ago, Penev was seen in a video trying to fight off her abductors.
She was snatched just metres from where she works with her husband at a plastic bottle manufacturing company.
It's believed the National Anti Kidnapping Task Team, with the help of the Hostage Negotiator Team of Western Cape Saps, helped the family secure Penev's safe return home.
Sources close to the matter say she was released late on Friday night in Khayelitsha.
She was then taken to hospital for medical treatment.
