CAPE TOWN - The 8-year-old Cape Town girl who was kidnapped more than a week ago has been found.
Abirah Dekhta was abducted on her way to school.
She was rescued tonight from a shack in Khayelitsha and has been reunited with her family.
Police say they used state-of-the-art technology to find her.
They are questioning several people in the hope of arresting the kidnappers.
Following Dekhta's kidnapping, the Missing Children South Africa organisation said the country has become a hub for human trafficking.
Based on statistics from the organisation, 77 percent of children who go missing are found.
