PRETORIA - There have been shocking revelations at the Senzo Meyiwa trial-within-a-trial.
It's been revealed accused Bongani Ntanzi was only read his rights 12 hours after he made a confession.
The trial is looking into whether the confessions by accused 1 and 2 were given freely and voluntarily.
Defence lawyer Thulani Mngomezulu argued his clients were coerced to implicate themselves.
Ntanzi and Muzi Sibiya accuse the police of torturing them to confess to the crime.
Police officer Solomon Raphadu is expected to be cross-examined on Friday.
