WESTERN CAPE - The Joshlin Smith kidnapping trial continues, with cross-examination of a social worker who testified about Kelly Smith’s drug addiction.
While many witnesses have painted a grim picture of Joshlin's mother, her former employer, Kelly Zeegers, has described her as a caring mother.

Smith, Jacquen Appollis, and Stevano van Rhyn face charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.
They're appearing before the Western Cape High Court, sitting in Saldanha Bay.
