WESTERN CAPE - The three accused in the kidnapping and human trafficking of Joshlin Smith go on trial today.
Joshlin was six years old when she went missing from Saldanha Bay over a year ago.
Her mother, Raquel 'Kelly' Smith, the mother's boyfriend, and their friend Steveno van Rhyn are accused of being behind her disappearance.
They are accused of planning the sale of the girl.
Because of the interest in this case, the trial will take place in the Saldanha Bay Multi-purpose Centre, which can house about a thousand people
