JOHANNESBURG - The pre-trial hearing in the case related to Joshlin Smith’s disappearance begins today at the Western Cape High Court.
Jacquen Appolis, Stevano van Rhyn and Joshlin's mother, Kelly Smith, are accused of kidnapping her.
Wednesday marked the first anniversary since six-year-old Joshlin vanished from outside her home in Saldanha Bay.

Despite an extensive search for her, she remains missing.
The state alleges Smith planned to sell Joshlin, as well as her two other children.
