Joburg residents to pay more for electricity
JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg residents will now be paying an extra 12.72 percent more for electricity.
The tariff increase comes into force on 1 July.
Extended Social Package customers will be paying 6.21 percent more.
City Power says the increases are based on a cost of supply study and the recent Integrated Development Plan discussions held throughout the city.
