JOHANNESBURG - The ANC in Johannesburg probably shouldn't bet on getting an apology from Mpho Phalatse.
The former mayor called the governing party corrupt.
ANC Johannesburg spokesperson Chris Vondo on Thursday said that Phalatse had 48 hours to apologise or face legal action.

Vondo says her statements defame the party.
But in a tweet, Phalatse says she "doesn't need 48 hours".
Furthermore, she has reiterated that she believes the ANC is corrupt.
Phalatse was voted out as Joburg mayor last week.
