JOHANNESBURG - The merry-go-round in the Joburg Council simply doesn't stop turning.
Residents could be without a mayor this week as Kabelo Gwamanda faces an ActionSA vote of no confidence.
But, the DA is proposing a different approach.

It wants the entire council dissolved.
This will allow for a fresh round of by-elections throughout the city to elect new leaders.
Gauteng DA Chair Fred Nel said the right thing to do is go back to the voters to get a fresh mandate.
"That's our call to the other political parties. We call on them to do the right thing," Nel said.
