Joburg City Council | Tables turn on Chair of Chairs

JOHANNESBURG - City of Johannesburg mayor Mpho Phalatse will not be facing a motion of no confidence after all.

However, it seems the City's Chair of chairs, Colleen Makhubele, will.

This comes after the ousting of speaker Vasco De Gama last week.

Makhubele appointed herself in the position and scheduled a special council sitting in an attempt to oust Phalatse as mayor.

However, this plan was stopped in its tracks by the Court, and now Makhubele faces the wrath of the multi-party coalition.
