Human Rights activist, Mandisa Monakali laid to rest

GUGULETHU - Appreciate and respect good people while they're still alive and not when they are lying in their coffins.

This is the sentiment expressed by those who attended the funeral of Western Cape Human Rights activist, Mandisa Monakali.

The founder of Ilitha Labantu died of cancer at the age of 64.

She was remembered at a church service in Gugulethu, for her tireless fight for the rights of the oppressed, especially  women and children.
