LICHTENBURG - Heavy rainfall has turned North West hospitals upside down says Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi.
He painted a grim picture after conducting an oversight visit to the General De La Rey Hospital in the North West.
Heavy rains flooded several hospital wards, forcing authorities to evacuate some patients.

The Lichtenburg Hospital and Moses Kotane Hospital near Rustenburg were also severely affected by the downpours.
Motsoaledia says this is the first time in 10 years the area has seen such heavy rainfall.
