Health Dept: KwaMashu hospital staff concerns will be addressed

DURBAN - The Health Department has 10 days to respond to demands by staff at the Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Hospital.

Over 100 workers at the KwaMashu facility downed tools over poor working conditions.

Among their grievances are staff shortages, long working hours, and unfair treatment.

Nurses say some staff members have been demoted without following proper procedures.

The Health Department has assured workers that their concerns will be addressed.
