Health department engages with Treasury over unplaced doctors

PRETORIA - The health department says talks with National Treasury will continue amid the outcry over unplaced medical graduates.

Health Minister Joe Phaahla revealed that his department has budget constraints, which is the main barrier to hiring unemployed doctors.

His deputy, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo says some doctors have been absorbed into system.
