DURBAN - The fraud and corruption trial against former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede continues in Durban.
But, the media will be barred from recording audio or video of the broadcasting.

It follows a shooting incident at the house of one of the witnesses, an eThekwini Metro official.
This left other witnesses afraid, but they've agreed to testify if it's not televised.

At the same time, police are conducting risk assessments and will offer protection where needed.
Gumede and her 21 co-accused face almost 3,000 counts of fraud and corruption.
It relates to a dodgy R320-million Durban Solid Waste contract.
