DURBAN - Anti-apartheid stalwart Pravin Gordhan has been remembered by his former comrades in Durban.

The ANC held a second-leg of his memorial service, following one in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

Gordhan died last Friday, aged 75, after a short battle with cancer.

The former minister and SARS Commissioner has been hailed for his commitment to justice.

Struggle stalwart Mac Maharaj paid tribute to Pravin Gordhan, highlighting his significant contributions to the anti-apartheid movement.

Siboniso Duma, the ANC KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Chair, expressed appreciation for Gordhan.

He acknowledged the immense loss felt by the Gordhan family, and the impact of his contribution to the anti-apartheid movement.

South African Communist Party Central Committee Member, Yunus Carrim, says the loss of Gordhan is monumental.

He told mourners that his comrade did not sell out as some South Africans believe.

Carrim says Gordhan, who also was a former member of the central committee, remained a communist until the end.
