GBV epidemic | Family’s painful wait for DNA results

JOHANNESBURG - The Chenene family is still haunted by the death of their daughter.

Nomvula Chenene, sister of former Pirates star Bennet Chenene, went missing in December.

They believe her body was found in a shallow grave in Orange Farm.

But they are yet to receive DNA results from authorities.

They are begging police to wrap up investigations so they can get closure.

A 34-year-old suspect is due to appear in court next month. He now faces additional charges after being linked to the rape of a minor back in 2018.

For now, though, the Chenene family says all they want is for DNA tests to be concluded so they can bury their daughter.
