JOHANNESBURG - Mop-up operations continue in flood-stricken areas in Gauteng.
Residents are still reeling from last week’s devastating floods which has wreaked havoc across the province.
Hundreds have been displaced, and various electricity and road infrastructure has been destroyed.
Clean-up operations were halted on Wednesday after heavy rains sparked fears of more flooding.

Over 2,000 households have been affected by the floods and over 300 people displaced.
Meanwhile, authorities are mulling over whether or not to declare a state of disaster.
