Gauteng education requests police assistance in Eldorado Park

JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Education Department says they've approached law enforcement and community policing forums to assist in patrolling gang-ridden parts of Eldorado Park.

This follows two violent incidents at Lancea Vale Seconday and Willow Crescent Secondary.

Two armed suspects entered Willow Crescent and allegedly opened fire on two pupils while a pupil was stabbed at Lancea Vale Secondary.

Meanwhile, SADTU is calling for tighter security at the country's schools.
