JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Education is planning more smart schools for the province.
It also plans to build more classrooms to increase capacity.
This was all detailed in MEC Matome Chiloane's maiden budget vote on Friday.
His spokesperson Steve Mabona explains.
"We're also looking at our infrastructure to make sure that we build more schools, increase capacity, make sure that we can accommodate.

"Our ICT rollout, you know, the smart schools that we have prioritised in all our townships, you know that there's smart boards, there are laptops for educators, tablets for learners," Mabona said.
"So that we will continue to improve and make sure that actually, all our schools in Gauteng should be smart one way or the other.
"So that's what we are doing and we have apportioned the budget, necessary allocation to all those responsibilities."
