JOHANNESBURG - The security company G4S has asked to appear before parliament's justice portfolio committee.
It says it would like to address the Thabo Bester prison escape.
Murderer and rapist Bester is believed to have escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre and is now on the run.

In 2022 Correctional Services reported that Bester's cell had caught fire and the body in it was burnt beyond recognition.
It’s now understood the body was not Bester's as assumed.
