Fort Hare staff member found bound


ALICE - Police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of attempted murder.

A University of Fort Hare staff member was found tied up on Wednesday, with his mouth covered with sellotape.

The 32-year-old was reportedly found by his colleagues after he failed to report to work.

He was immediately rushed to hospital for medical care.

Police say this incident is not linked to the recent killing of the vice chancellor's bodyguard, Mboneni Vesele.

No arrests have been made yet, and police have appealed to the community to come forward with any information that will help to nab the suspects.
