Fort Hare Fires | Concerns about private security on campus

JOHANNESBURG - Students from the University of Fort Hare say one of their campuses does not feel like an environment for learning.

They say the presence of tight security at the Alice Campus is intimidating students who are currently writing exams.

This comes after a group of students torched a building and vandalised facilities at the institution.

13 suspects appeared in appear in the Alice Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on charges of arson and business burglary.
