Fort Hare fire | Students face internal process

ALICE - Fort Hare students facing charges of malicious damage to property and theft may be expelled. 

They're to undergo an internal university probe for allegedly setting exam buildings alight.

Thirteen suspects appeared in court on Thursday after the weekend rampage.

The students say a congested examination timetable sparked their behaviour. 

Magistrate Luyolo Vena released the students on warning and postponed the case to 28 July.
