JOHANNESBURG - Following a spate of fatal food poisoning incidents in Soweto, there’s been a growing call for government to shut down spaza shops.

Poor people who rely on these shops would go hungry.
The Gauteng Education Department has already instructed schools to close their tuck-shops until further notice.
