JOHANNESBURG - The eThekwini Municipality has finally received R1.5-billion to fix the destruction wreaked by the 2022 April floods.
The Mayor of the metro Mxolisi Kaunda says R94-million will go to human settlements.
Flood victims say they urgently need the municipality to build them homes.
Meanwhile, organizations like Umnsinsi and Xubera have called on the municipality to act with urgency and help flood victims get homes.
The organisations have also raised caution against possible corruption in the use of the funds.
