KEMPTON PARK - There was chaos at OR Tambo International this morning.
Airports Company South Africa says challenges with the main fuel valve saw some flights being grounded.
There was initially little to no communication from airlines and frustrated passengers took to social media.
One passenger says he sat on a plane, meant to depart a little after 5am for 2 hours, before disembarking.
ACSA says the issue impacted the refuelling of aircraft.
But some flights have now been refuelled.
This has caused delays with domestic and international departures.
