Festive season safety | Tshwane traffic officials prepare for gridlock

PRETORIA - Police are vowing to crack down on lawlessness on the country's roads this festive season.

Over 1,000 people have been arrested since the beginning of the month.

On Monday, a major joint operation is being held on the N1.

It involves Tshwane Metro Police, the Road Traffic Management Corporation and community safety.

They say they are also paying special attention to officers soliciting bribes.
