DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal health department on Monday announced the two paramedics were suspended.

But Mbali Sikhosana says the family wants answers from authorities.

Sikhosana said, "I believe that the paramedics made everything worse..."

"If everything was peaceful or they gave us a stretcher, we would've arrived on time at the hospitals."

"I'm still shocked by the paramedics because they saw her. It's not like they didn't see her, we were close to them. They still left anyway. Now I don't feel safe because I don't know if that man was drunk or is just rude naturally but he's heartless."

"He might do anything from now because we are taking action."

"Firstly, I don't believe that they're suspended because the news of their suspension started yesterday [Monday] we were still at the hospital."

"The news started trending, I don't know if they are honest but they said they're in charge of ambulances in KZN. We said we wanted them to be suspended, they mustn't work because they said they're coming back for a night shift."

"We left without them telling us whether they are suspended or not."
