'Every pupil should be placed by end of January' - Basic Education

JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Basic Education has vowed to have every pupil placed in a school by the end of January. 

This as the Basic Education Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule raised concerns over the placement backlog.

Concerned parents have had to bare long queues to secure placement for their children. 

This has become a familiar story every year in the Gauteng and Western Cape provinces.
