ETHEKWINI - The eThekwini Municipality is doing its best to accommodate victims of the deadly April floods in KwaZulu-Natal.
The metro says they are assisting flood victims, including supplying building materials.

eThekwini Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda said, "As eThekwini Municipality, working with all spheres of government, we are working flat out to ensure that process or relocating floods victims from community halls and other centers that we have opened is also fast-tracked."
"We wish to commend the support we are getting from the Minister and our MEC in regards to these to expediting the process of becoming more responsive to the plight of those who are still located in mass care centers."
"We are pleased to report through various government interventions, over 360 families have been issued with materials supply to rebuild their informal structures but not in areas that are prone to flooding."
