eThekwini Municipality, Adopt-a-River test water weekly for E.coli

JOHANNESBURG - This time last year we were being assured that the seas around Durban would be safe to swim in despite fluctuating levels of E.coli bacteria.

This has not completely been the case.

Since then the city has been rigorously testing the E.coli levels at various beaches in partnership with private labs and NGO’s. 

Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda assured residents and holidaymakers that beaches are safe.
