JOHANNESBURG - Blackouts have resumed on Monday morning at Stage 1.
It kicked in at 5am following a short reprieve over Christmas.
Eskom says Stage 1 is only possible because of lower demand which has reduced reliance on emergency generation reserves.
It's being implemented until further notice.
Stage 1 loadshedding will be implemented from 05:00 on Monday morning until further notice. This is possible due to the lower demand for electricity during the day, reducing the reliance on emergency generation reserves.
