JOHANNESBURG - Over a million prepaid Eskom customers are yet to upgrade their electricity meters, and nearly all of them are zero buyers.
That's according to Eskom spokesperson, Daphne Mokwena.
She says the utility has extended the deadline for them to recode.

Still, they need to buy electricity tokens from legal vendors by the end of Sunday to ensure they can finish the upgrading process from Monday.
"The meter itself is still going to expire tomorrow [Monday] but you needed to have those two key tokens that enable you to upgrade your meter," she said.
