Eskom debt relief bill | NCOP gives legislation thumbs up

JOHANNESBURG - The Eskom Debt Relief Bill is close to becoming law after the National Council of Provinces voted to approve the bill.

30 members gave the legislation the thumbs up while 18 voted against it.

It will see National Treasury taking over a portion of Eskom's debt.

The bill will now be sent to President Cyril Ramaphosa to sign into law.
