CAPE TOWN - Eskom board Chairperson Mteto Nyati says the generation recovery plan is the only way for the utility, to see light at the end of the tunnel.
The parastatal incurred a record loss of almost R24-billion for the financial year ending March 2023.
Poor performance by the generation fleet has also meant rolling blackouts for more than 200 days this year and counting.
Speaking before the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises, Nyati outlined the main drivers for the dismal results.
