Emfuleni Municipality | Eskom seize assets worth R1bn

JOHANNESBURG - Problems are far from over in Gauteng's embattled Emfuleni Local Municipality.

Not only is the Municipality facing fury over a lack of service delivery, but debt obligations are catching up with it too.

Emfuleni struggles to provide services

On Thursday, the sheriff was in town, attaching vehicles and assets belonging to the Municipality.

This after Eskom executed a court order to seize over R1bn worth of assets for not paying their bill.
