JOHANNESBURG - The public has until 1 November to voice their objections to Eskom's proposed 36-percent electricity tariff hike.
This follows Energy regulator, Nersa's publication of the Eskom application for the years 2026 to 2028.
The proposal has been slammed by political parties and civil society organisations, with many saying consumers won't be able to afford it.
Energy expert and a former executive manager of Eskom and a former senior executive of City Power Jhb, Vally Padayachee discussed the plan with eNCA.
