JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is expected to give an update on the energy crisis at 1pm.
He will outline the work of the National Energy Crisis Committee.
South Africans are currently experiencing Stage 1 and Stage 3 power cuts.
Government is looking at buying additional traditional and green power.
Western Cape farmers are also looking at sustainable power to reduce reliance on Eskom.
But, there are already problems with funding these projects.
At the same time, experts believe the Eskom Debt Relief Bill all point to signs of privatisation.
The bill will see a portion of the utility's debt fall to National Treasury.
