BUTTERWORTH - Eastern Cape pupils have to cross raging rivers and busy highways to get to schools.
Parents say this is putting their lives at risk.

This is all due to a failure by the provincial government to sort out the scholar transport programme.
There are growing calls for authorities to resolve the crisis.
"Arrangement must be made for the children to be on time so that they don't miss classes and they get all the time they need to be at school," said Nomawabo Ntolosi.
