GQEBERHA - The Eastern Cape Liquor Board in partnership with Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Traffic and police authorities have teamed up to fight against drinking and driving.
This comes as they have launched a campaign to help reduce alcohol-related road accidents and fatalities during the festive season.
The theme for the campaign is "Your family awaits you at home, do not drink and drive.
According to Eastern Cape Economic Development, MEC Nonkqubela Pieters the initiative is aimed at remind road users about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Pieters says through these campaigns they hope that people will be responsible and that the province will do far better than the previous festive session, which recorded a 21.5% decline.
Meanwhile the Liquor Board says they've decided to start their operations by educating all road users.
