EAST LONDON - Heavy rains have hit parts of the Eastern Cape.
This is unprecedented as the rainy season usually arrives in summer.
Buffalo City authorities say they were caught off guard by the June downpours.
Road infrastructure and low-lying areas have been affected in parts of East London.
Authorities say they are continuing to monitor affected areas but have also urged communities to also stop littering in areas where basic services are hindered.
